We welcome many surfers into our home. We share meals, play cards and encourage our surfers to cook for us. As you can imagine, we have had some amazing food (and some interesting food). We also ask our surfers to record the recipes they cooked for us in a small book.
When Anna and Marius stayed, we entered the dining room to find our plates with 2 rissoles on each plate and in the centre of the table a huge pile of rissoles which immediately became the ‘Leaning Tower of Rissoles’. The meal was delicious and the rissoles were enjoyed for a few days afterwards as hamburgers and then with spaghetti sauce!
Couchsurfing has given us the opportunity to meet and host an amazing array of people of all age groups. It has given us traveling experiences that are unique. It has also given us a new love for where we live as we see it through new eyes all the time.
