Love that your post led to new adventures!

I made a post on Couchsurfing.com the other day about wanting a road trip buddy for a few days for a quick journey to Mt. Hood. That is when Sunny wrote to me with the idea of one last adventure in Idaho before his journey to England. We met up to go out to the Kuna Cave and ended up becoming wonderful friends. We spent the past two days together and today he’s on his way to the beginning of a great adventure.

If you are a traveler or are willing to meet with travelers, I highly recommend Couchsurfing.com. I updated my profile just a few days ago after a couple years of not using the site. What a community! Check it out, sign up, you won’t regret it!

The first week of this crazy adventure sees me burning through Western Europe at great speed, with Ben, a French Couchsurfer living in London, riding shotgun from the start line all the way to Serbia. Dave, the 2006 Suzuki Alto I’m driving has handled the first leg of the trip well, eating up the German Autobahn and the backroads of Brussels with ease, proving that getting lost and meeting new people is part of the adventure.

Couchsurfing Road Trip - Day 1

Remember Jon and Ron? The guys road tripping up the east coast of America and Couchsurfing the whole way?

Well, the boys have been releasing a few videos on each day of their trip. We love their quirky experiences in the short videos below!

Producer Jonathan Yaniv of There is a New World Somewhere and travel blogger Ron Robbins of Active Planet Travels are teaming up for the journey of a lifetime.
They’ll be leaving St. Augustine, FL on May 29th and arriving in New York City ten days later, filming and editing from the road. Upon their arrival they’ll be screening their film in NYC!

Nomadic Living

Hello fellow couchsurfers and wanderlust intellectuals,

I’m about to embark on a substantial journey of my young life. It will consist in a period of time of nomadic living. The period of time will be determined. Perhaps a year, perhaps my life. Regardless, I’m willing and interested in fellow like-minded individuals to join me in my journey through life, whether it’s for a day, a week, or through a state. Ideally, I would be starting after May 6th.

A visit to Nagarprakar, Pakistan for one Couchsurfer resulted in a 1,000km road trip. The group of surfers saw the Thar Desert, Naukot Fort, Mithi, Nagarparkar, Kasbo village, the highlights of desert life, the ancient Jain Temple and returned to Karachi in 60 hours.
